Spring Lawn Care

With spring comes new life for your lawn and garden. In cool regions of the country the weather is beginning to warm, snow is melting and sunshine filled days are more frequent. In the warmer regions, flowers are beginning to bud and bloom. Yes! Spring lawn care with all its elements has arrived. Depending on your lawn care preferences, as well as your time and resources, there are several actions to include on your spring lawn care “to do” list.

    Basic Spring Lawn Care Steps:

    1. Soil evaluation-find out your soil’s nutrient content
    2. Check soil depth and texture-do you need to add more dirt or compost as part of your spring lawn care plan?
    3. Locate (if needed) sources of compost
    4. Clean up any debris, dethatching if necessary, and then add compost.

Once you have taken care of the spring lawn care basics, there are specific jobs that should be done depending on your region.
