The state also receives a fair amount of both rain and snow, helping to keep to weather humid. This weather is ideal for many types of grass, since very little additional watering would be necessary.
Any fescue variation would be well-suited for Delaware’s climate. This type of grass is able to survive in shady areas, and would be able to thrive in Delaware’s mild climate. Another good option is Bahia grass. This grass is also well-suited for areas without excessive sunlight and performs well in high traffic areas. Although Bahia grass is much courser than other types of grass, this makes it less susceptible to weeds. Although many types of grass can grow in Delaware, these variations should be specially considered.
